Profile & preferences
In your profile, you set who you are and the context you work in — this makes summaries and notes more accurate. In Settings, you control language, device, and privacy, always with full control over your data.
At a glance
- Profile details (name, role, technical terms) improve the quality of AI summaries.
- Language, transcription language, and output format can be freely configured.
- You manage the paired Kuno device and its Bluetooth connection under Device settings.
- All data is processed exclusively in the EU — no AI training on your content.
- You can enable privacy and recording reminders to support the consent required under Section 201 StGB.
Completing your profile
The more Kuno knows about your work context, the more accurate your summaries and notes will be. Here’s how to add your details:
- Open the Kuno app and tap Settings › Profile.
- Fill in your name, role, and optionally your organization.
- Under Context & technical terms, add recurring names, abbreviations, or technical vocabulary (e.g. product names or acronyms).
- Save with Apply.
These details help the AI spell proper names correctly and summarize content in a way that fits your work environment.
Language & output format
Under Settings › Language, you set:
- App language – the interface language (German by default).
- Transcription language – the language of your recordings; automatic detection is available on request.
- Output format of the summary, such as bullet points, running text, or an action item list.
Device & connection
You manage your Kuno recording device under Settings › Device. Here you can see the pairing status, battery level, and firmware version.
- Turn on the device and press the pairing button.
- In the app, select Pair device and confirm the Bluetooth connection.
- The recording LED always indicates when recording is in progress.
Privacy & recording reminder
Kuno processes all content exclusively on servers within the EU. Your recordings and notes are never used to train AI models — neither by us nor by third parties.
Important: In Germany, conversations may only be recorded with the consent of everyone involved (Section 201 StGB). Enable the recording reminder under Settings › Privacy so the app reminds you to get consent before every recording. The visible recording LED further helps you stay transparent.
Under Settings › Privacy, you can also export or delete your data. Our team is happy to answer any questions about your profile, settings, or privacy at [email protected].
