Who is your contracting party
The operator of Kuno and your contracting party is Kuno Intelligence GmbH, headquartered in Munich. By setting up your account and using the device and app, you accept the Terms of Service.
What the terms cover
The Terms of Service govern the interaction between three parts:
- Device — the compact recorder with a recording LED and pairing button.
- App — the Kuno app, which pairs with the device over Bluetooth.
- Account — your personal access to recordings and transcripts.
How we process your data — exclusively in the EU and without training models on customer data — is governed by the separate privacy policy.
Permitted use and your responsibility
You use Kuno at your own responsibility and within the bounds of applicable law. In particular:
- You obtain the required consent of everyone involved before every recording. Secretly recording non-public spoken conversations is a criminal offense in Germany under Section 201 of the German Criminal Code (StGB).
- You keep your login credentials confidential and secure your account.
- You do not use Kuno for unlawful, fraudulent, or harassing purposes.
Reverse engineering the device or the app, unauthorized extraction of source code, and unauthorized access to other people’s accounts are also prohibited.
Note on the recording LED: The visible LED signals an ongoing recording and helps you establish transparency with the people you’re speaking with. It does not replace the required consent.
Warranty and changes
The Kuno device carries a 2-year statutory warranty. We announce material changes to the Terms of Service in advance — by email or as a notice in the app.
