Create account & sign in
Before you start recording with your Kuno device, set up a Kuno account in the Kuno app. Your account links the device and app and is managed exclusively on EU servers.

Your Kuno account is the foundation for using your device: it links the Kuno recorder to the Kuno app and ensures your recordings are securely synced and stored exclusively on servers in the EU.
Create an account
- Download the Kuno app from the App Store or Google Play and open it.
- Tap Create account.
- Choose your preferred method: Email address, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google.
- If you choose email, enter your address. We’ll send you a confirmation link and a 6-digit code.
- Confirm via the link or enter the code in the app. You can optionally set a password — it’s not required.
Sign in
- Open the Kuno app and tap Sign in.
- Enter the same email address, or choose Apple or Google.
- Confirm sign-in using the code or link you receive.
Your session stays active on trusted devices. Under Settings → Account, you can sign out or view your signed-in devices at any time.
Pair the device with the app
- Turn on the Kuno recorder using the side button. The LED blinks slowly blue — the device is ready to pair.
- In the app, tap Add device.
- Enter the 6-digit pairing code shown on the device display.
- Once connected successfully, the LED glows solid green.
Privacy & recording notice: You start a recording deliberately by pressing the record button; the LED then glows visibly red. This lets everyone present know that recording is in progress. Note: under Section 201 of the German Criminal Code (StGB), recording non-public spoken conversations without the consent of everyone involved is a criminal offense. Get the consent of everyone taking part before every recording.
Your data and your rights
Account and recording data is processed exclusively in EU data centers, in compliance with GDPR. You can delete your account and all associated data in the app at any time.
The device is covered by the statutory 2-year warranty. If purchased online, you also have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
