Tagging & labels
Tags and labels let you organize your Kuno recordings so you can find any conversation or task again in seconds. Both tools work inside the Kuno app and are processed exclusively on EU servers.

The more conversations you record with your Kuno recorder, the more valuable a clear structure becomes. Tags and labels are the two tools that help you stay organized in the Kuno app — without folder chaos and without endless searching.
Tags vs. labels — the difference
- Tags apply to an entire recording, for example
#client-meeting,#project-north, or#personal. They give each conversation context. - Labels mark individual tasks in a recording’s “Checklist” tab — for example “urgent” or “call back” — and are color-coded so you can spot what matters at a glance.
Adding tags to a recording
- Open the recording in the Kuno app.
- Tap the tag icon above the summary.
- Choose an existing tag or type in a new one.
- Confirm with “Save.”
You can add tags right after a recording or later, whenever you’re reviewing it. The Kuno app suggests relevant tags based on the conversation’s content — whether you accept them is entirely up to you.
Marking tasks with labels
- Open the “Checklist” tab within a recording.
- Tap the task you want.
- Choose a colored label or create a new one.
Finding and filtering
Use search in the Kuno app to see every recording tied to a tag — for example, all conversations with #project-north. In the checklist, filter your tasks by label to see, for instance, all urgent items grouped together.
Editing or deleting tags
In a recording’s details, remove a single tag by tapping the “x” next to it. To rename or delete a tag globally, use the tag overview in settings; existing recordings are updated accordingly.
Privacy note: Tags and labels are part of your recording data and are processed and stored exclusively on servers within the EU (GDPR-compliant). Kuno never uses your content to train AI models. Keep in mind: a recording may only be made with the consent of everyone involved (§ 201 StGB) — the red recording LED on the device makes the recording visible to everyone present.
