Combining recordings
You can merge several related Kuno recordings into a single, continuous recording — turning an interrupted conversation into one complete summary with a shared transcript.

Sometimes a single conversation ends up spread across several Kuno recordings: a meeting gets interrupted, you switch rooms, or the Kuno device pauses briefly. In the Kuno app, you can merge these parts afterward into one continuous recording.
When is merging worth it?
Merging makes sense whenever recordings that belong together content-wise were captured separately — for example, an all-day workshop, a multi-part meeting, or a conversation that continued after a break. The individual parts become one coherent recording with a shared transcript and a single, complete summary. This also improves the answers you get when you later ask Kuno questions about the conversation.
How to merge recordings
- In the Kuno app, open your recordings overview.
- Tap the menu and select Merge recordings.
- Select at least two recordings that belong together.
- Check the order and adjust it if needed so the timeline is correct.
- Confirm with Merge.
Kuno then processes the audio and transcripts in the background. During this time you’ll see the Processing status. The app stays usable — you’ll be notified as soon as the new recording is ready.
What happens afterward
The merged recording appears as a new entry with a continuous transcript and a newly generated overall summary. Your original recordings remain unchanged and can still be opened or deleted individually.
Privacy note: Merging takes place exclusively on EU servers. Your content is never used to train AI models. Please note that consent from all participants in a conversation is still required for each underlying recording (§ 201 StGB, GDPR) — merging afterward does not change that.
