Does VOMO AI Provide Recommendations for Meetings?

VOMO AI can help produce recommendations when you ask it to analyze a meeting transcript, but its official product pages do not describe a distinct autonomous “meeting recommendation engine.” What VOMO clearly advertises is transcription, structured notes, AI meeting summaries, customizable templates, chapters and chat with the transcript.
That distinction matters. A summary reports what was said. An action item records a commitment. A recommendation proposes what should happen. The third requires assumptions and judgment that may not exist in the recording.

VOMO’s current pricing and product pages describe this workflow:

The transcript-chat feature is the route for recommendations. A user can ask, “Based only on this transcript, what options were proposed, what evidence supports each, and what information is missing?” VOMO can then generate a draft response. The output is still model-generated analysis, not a decision approved by the meeting participants.

Recommendations, decisions and action items are different
Do not merge these labels:
- Decision: the group explicitly selected an option.
- Action item: a person accepted a deliverable, ideally with a date.
- Recommendation: an option is proposed based on stated criteria.
- Inference: the model concludes something that nobody directly said.
A useful VOMO prompt should force those categories apart: “List decisions, accepted actions, speaker suggestions and your own recommendations in separate sections. Quote no more than needed, cite transcript timestamps, and mark absent evidence as unknown.”
If VOMO cannot point to supporting transcript content, treat the recommendation as a brainstorming suggestion. This is especially important for legal, medical, financial, employment or safety decisions. Meeting AI can organize evidence; it cannot know every policy, contract, budget or stakeholder constraint.
A safer recommendation workflow
Start with a clear meeting objective and record only with appropriate permission. After VOMO creates the transcript:
- correct speaker names, figures, dates and specialist terms;
- generate a factual summary before requesting advice;
- ask for options tied to explicit criteria from the meeting;
- require missing information and risks to be listed;
- verify every cited point against the audio;
- have the responsible person approve the recommendation;
- record the final decision separately.

Prompts that produce more useful output
Weak prompt: “What should we do?”
Better prompt: “Using only the transcript, compare options A and B against cost, delivery date and data residency. Identify evidence for each claim, unresolved questions and the person responsible for obtaining missing facts. Do not choose an option if the criteria are incomplete.”
For a sales meeting, ask VOMO to separate customer-stated needs from the salesperson’s interpretation. For a project review, request blockers, dependencies and owners without inventing deadlines. For a research interview, ask for themes and contradictory evidence rather than a recommendation about the participant.
Generated recommendations become more reliable when the meeting itself contains explicit criteria. AI cannot recover a decision framework that participants never discussed.
Pricing and product caveats
On 18 July 2026, VOMO’s official pricing page displayed a free allowance of 30 minutes and a Pro price from $1.92 per week when billed yearly, alongside separate weekly and monthly billing choices. It also described three-hour per-file uploads for Pro, customizable summary templates, bulk import, meeting summaries, chapters and support for more than 50 languages.
Those are vendor claims and current displayed prices, not guaranteed future terms. Verify currency, tax, renewal period, cancellation, fair-use conditions, app-store pricing and data limits before subscribing. VOMO advertises accuracy of up to 99 percent, but “up to” is not an expected result for every accent, room or recording.
Review VOMO’s current privacy policy, subprocessors, storage, deletion and model-use terms before handling confidential meetings. A convenient transcript-chat feature may send more meeting context into processing when you ask a broad question.
When VOMO fits and when it does not
VOMO may fit people who already have audio or want mobile and web transcription with flexible note templates. It can be useful for turning a source recording into questions, summaries and provisional next steps.
It is a weaker fit when the organization needs a validated recommendation engine connected to current operational data, formal decision controls or guaranteed human review. It also does not solve poor microphone placement, missing consent or an unclear meeting purpose.
